Egg Donor Programs

We have many fertile healthy egg donors in our egg donor program. Since it is still not possible to reliably freeze eggs, for donor egg treatment, we need fresh eggs.

We have many fertile healthy egg donors in our egg donor program. Since it is still not possible to reliably freeze eggs, for donor egg treatment, we need fresh eggs. If you cannot organize your own egg donor, we will be happy to do so for you.

We will be happy to help you find/facilitate an egg donor. We have many healthy young fertile Indian women ( all of whom are mostly less than 30 years of age , have been medically tested for their fertility ; and screened for infectious diseases) on our egg donor panel, who have been fully evaluated.

Many couples want to know more information about our donors - their physical traits; educational background; special interests; religion, and so on.

This is perfectly understandable - after all, this is an anonymous and confidential donation, and it's quite natural to be curious and learn as much as possible about the person who is making such an important contribution to your future family ! However, we need to protect the identity of our egg donors and do not show photos. We select a donor who matches your physical traits. Egg donation is anonymous and confidential, and we protect the identity of the recipient as well as that of the egg donor.

The donors are screened for their health and for infectious diseases and will match physical traits. We feel that the focus should be on making sure the gametes and embryos come from healthy parents, and this is what we ensure. We feel the rest of the information is irrelevant. When we go to a blood bank, do we ask any of these questions? How are they relevant to donor eggs ( which are also body fluids, after all !)

While the Nature versus Nurture argument will never be resolved, We firmly believe that your child is what you choose to make him/her ! The only important ingredient is love, and this should not depend upon the physical traits of the donor. Be grateful that someone is generous enough to be willing to make this donation - and then do your best to bring up your child as best you can !

We can provide the following non-identifying details of our egg donors.

[a]. Physical Characteristics

  • Age
  • Height
  • Weight
  • Complexion

[b]. Personal Health History

  • Medical problems
  • Blood transfusions

[c]. Family History (Any diseases in the family e.g. diabetes, etc.).

[d]. Fertility History

If you have any special requirements ( for example, you want only a medical student/doctor; or someone more than 5'6") we will need to advertise on your behalf to find someone who meets your wish list. We'll be happy to do so, but this will involve an additional cost. It will also take us longer to find a suitable donor for you.

After receiving your email or phone call we initiate the process by coordinating with the clinic, surrogates, egg donors and other professionals involved in the process according to your specific needs.

Egg Donation

Egg donation can allow you to help infertile couples who would otherwise never be able to have a baby of their own, to start their own family.

We enrol healthy young generous women living in Delhi / NCR or any part of India, who are willing to donate their eggs.

Prospective egg donor should be:

  • Young and beautiful
  • Sharp features preferably fair complexion
  • Educated
  • Healthy
  • Proven Mother

Basic investigations are carried out to make sure that the donor is negative for HIV, HBSAg and VDRL. She needs to take daily injections for about 10 - 12 days; and will need to come for scans to the prescribed clinic about 4-5 times. Donating eggs will not harm your future fertility or affect your health.

We also facilitate Embryo Adoption and Embryo donation

Embryo adoption is the newest method of family-building, which combines assisted reproductive technology with adoption, so that instead of adopting a baby, infertile couples adopt an embryo.

What is embryo adoption?

Embryo adoption is the newest method of family-building, which combines assisted reproductive technology with adoption, so that instead of adopting a baby, infertile couples adopt an embryo.

Where do these embryos come from?

When we perform IVF, young women often produce many eggs, and therefore, many embryos. The supernumerary embryos can be stored, and we do this by freezing them in liquid nitrogen at minus-196 degrees Celsius.

If the parents get pregnant, they often agree to donate their embryos to other infertile couples, to help them to start a family.

What is the pregnancy rate with embryo adoption?

The pregnancy rate in our clinic, when we transfer 4 frozen-thawed embryos, is 45% per cycle. The reason for the high pregnancy rate is twofold. Firstly, these are often excellent quality embryos (it is usually because the parents have achieved a pregnancy with the fresh embryos, that they are willing to donate these frozen embryos to another couple). Also, since we prepare the endometrium using hormones, the uterine receptivity to these embryos is usually very good.

What is the procedure?

The procedure is identical to a frozen thaw embryo transfer ET cycle. For young women, we can transfer the embryos in a natural cycle, 2 days after ovulation. For older women, we need to downregulate with GnRH analog from Day 1, and then prepare the uterus to accept the embryo with exogenous estrogens and progesterone. The procedure is non-surgical, and there is no risk involved.

What about confidentiality?

In our clinic, we handle embryo donation like a closed adoption. There is no contact between the donating couple and the recipients, who never see each other. The recipient couple does not even need to inform their obstetrician that they achieved their pregnancy through embryo adoption.

Why is this called adoption?

Firstly, like traditional adoption, the couple who adopts the embryo has no genetic connection to it. In addition, embryo donation offers an altruistic use for surplus embryos, just like adoption meets the needs of both the adoptive family, and the unwanted child.

How is this different from adopting a child? Unlike traditional adoption, the couple does not have to go through a legal process to adopt , but through medical treatment. This means that the couple ,biologically adopts , the embryo. There are many reasons why couples may prefer embryo adoption to adopting a child. For infertile couples, embryo adoption offers the unique opportunity to be pregnant, to bond with their child prior to birth, and to give birth. In addition, embryo adoption may be much more affordable than traditional adoption in the US. Embryo adoption also offers couples privacy and secrecy, so that they do not need to worry about societal acceptance of their adopted child. Also in India, certain groups such as Christians and Muslims cannot adopt. Embryo adoption can be an extremely attractive option for them

Who are good candidates for embryo adoption?

Embryo adoption is an alternative for infertile couples who need egg or sperm donation. Also, families who cannot afford the huge fees needed for egg donation may prefer embryo adoption.

For embryo donation, we have frozen supernumerary embryos which patients who have already conceived have kindly agreed to donate to other infertile couples. Embryo adoption is a type of prenatal adoption !
